The image in are article shows a good example of what car supermarkets looks like all over the country and you can see immediately why it’s called a supermarket. There’s a massive collection of cars on sale at very attractive prices. If none of the plethora of cars on offer are ones that you are interested in then don’t worry. You can also ask for any one of the thousands of cars held at the other branches to be brought for you to look at.
In most cases with car supermarkets their cars are fully prepared before going on sale and valeted frequently which means that each one is good to go. So, you can come in, choose a car, buy it and then drive it home the very same day. How do you do that? Well, first of all when you arrive you’ll be met by one of the staff who will explain how the car supermarket concept works. Although supermarkets can operate differently you’ve usually given a form that you can fill in as you wonder around the cars on display so that you can note down the details of any that you are interested in. Alternatively, if you already know what you want before you arrive or you have reserved a car online then you can go straight to a member of the sales team. Once you know which cars you like they’ll give you the keys so that you can take a closer look and answer any question you may have. If you want to go for a test-drive then this shouldn’t be a problem. They can arrange that as long as you have your driving license with you.
If you think you’ve found the right car for you then then next step is buying it. Thankfully there’s no uncomfortable negotiation to be done as the price of the car is fixed. So, there’s no need to haggle and if you’ve got a car to part exchange then you’ll be given a competitive valuation.
Once you’ve decided to buy the car then the next step is to work out how you are going to pay for it. You’re welcome to use your own cash or finance but most supermarkets can sort out everything in-house. All you have to do is fill out a form online in the showroom and in a couple of minutes you’ll know if your application has been approved. Assuming it has then the salesperson will sort everything else out while you enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee. So, as long as you’ve got your paperwork with you then you can be driving off in your new car in under as little as an hour. On the other hand if you’d like to think things through for a couple of days at any stage then this should be fine. Placing a small deposit on the car will secure it for you but this is usually refunded if you decide not to buy the car.
Wherever you decide to buy your next used car at a supermarket there’s no doubt that the process is quick, efficient and they don’t cut any corners.
