The first Corsa was launch in 1993 and although it was very basic it was one of the smartest looking superminis on the road at the time. Although Vauxhall made improvements to the Corsa in 2000 it wasn't until 2003 that an updated model was eventually launched. Not only was the 2003 better equipped than the old model but Vauxhall had sharpened up its looks and increased the space for passengers and their luggage.
Towards the end of 2005 the Corsa was looking a little dated compared to some of its class rivals and Vauxhall again turned to their engineers to update the car in terms of looks and cabin. These latter models were significantly better to drive and had an overall better quality feel to it. Corsa drivers suddenly felt at ease carrying the family on long haul journeys as well as in and around town.
If you're on a budget then you can't go too wrong with a used Vauxhall Corsa. Not only are they relatively cheap to buy but the cost of general ownership is on the low side too. It's for this reason that the Corsa has become one of Vauxall's best sellers. You may find that the majority of Vauxhall Corsas aren't that well equipped, but you'll find an almost endless array of examples on the used car market.
